Care & Cleansing

Everyday Care

  • Keep away from chemicals: perfume, hair spray, cosmetics, detergents, hot-spring water and pool chlorine can all corrode crystal surfaces and cords. Put your piece on after make-up and perfume, and take it off when bathing, swimming or doing housework.
  • Avoid knocks: crystals are hard but brittle — take your piece off when exercising or carrying heavy items. When not worn, store it separately in a velvet pouch so bracelets do not rub and scratch each other.
  • Store away from light: coloured crystals such as amethyst and rose quartz gradually fade under long sun exposure; keep them away from direct sunlight by windows.
  • Clean regularly: rinse gently with clean water or wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry with a dry cloth. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical detergents. If the cord becomes visibly loose or frayed, contact customer service to arrange re-stringing.

Cleansing (cultural practices, for reference)

  • Water cleansing: rinse under running water for a few minutes and dry (a few materials, such as obsidian, should not be soaked — rinsing is enough).
  • Moonlight cleansing: leave it by a window where moonlight reaches, for one night.
  • Cluster / chip cleansing: rest the bracelet on a clear quartz cluster or cleansing crystal chips for a night to a day.
  • Frequency: about once a month; after extended wear or crowded places, you may do it more often.
The above are common folk care habits within cultural custom — follow them as you personally prefer. To measure your wrist before buying, see the Wrist Measuring Guide; for other questions, see the FAQ.
